Packing and Preparations

I've been preparing for my Jordanian adventure for a while now, but today I officially began the packing process. It feels like I just moved into this new house three days ago, not three months ago and now once again I am putting my things in boxes. Over the past couple of weeks I've accumulated a new wardrobe consisting of maxi skirts and plain colored shirts that fall in line with the expectations of dress for women in Jordan. I've also updated my electronics with a new camera and an eReader for those long plane trips. Luckily I'm finally starting to feel prepared (at least materially, anyway)!

I depart this Wednesday in the morning and I couldn't be more excited, nervous, anxious, and unsure about what the next four months will hold for me. At the conclusion of my program mid-December I plan to continue my travels spending Christmas in Bethlehem and traipsing through Europe for a few weeks before diving back into life at Mac. In this blog I hope to post pictures and keep everyone updated about my adventures abroad!
